Psychological support for adopted youngsters

Fondation Dora supported Espace A in setting up and organising counselling for adopted youngsters aged between 16 and 25 years in French-speaking Switzerland.

Activities offered by Espace A include psychological support and one-to-one counselling for adopted youngsters. These individuals are not always financially independent, which can prevent them from seeking counselling. With the help of Fondation Dora, psychologists at Espace A can now offer counselling for a fee that is affordable given the financial situation of these youngsters.

Espace A  (previously called Espace adoption) is an independent association founded in 1999 to address the specific needs of individuals affected by adoption in French-speaking Switzerland. The association offers opportunities for reflection and discussion and organises an array of activities to provide better support to those affected.

Fondation Dora assisted this programme for four years, from 2013 to 2016.
